The future we see for our kids

We all want the best for our kids. Of course we do, but are some parents expectations sometimes too high? Hubby was just telling me about a conversation he heard on the radio. A lad who is devastated that his parents are disappointed in him because his A-Level results weren't good enough; another who's parents were going to throw him out because his can't go to University.

What?

Being sad for your child when their hopes and dreams don't go to plan is one thing, but throwing them out when they don't follow yours is quite another. They need support and guidance not their heart ripped from their chests and stamped on.

This makes me so sad. Of course we all want our kids to do well, but let me tell you this, 'bad results' aren't the end of a dream, there are always ways to get to them.

Love your kids for who they are, not who you want them to be.

....and kids... it's not the end of the World, it really isn't!
