There's nothing better than watching your Daughter completely engrossed in an activity during the school holidays. Not an, 'I'm bored', comment could be heard. Just the occasional 'purrs' of contentment and cries of, 'Look at this one, Mum!'
Yes, my Daughter loves the new Blingles Bling Studio from Character. I knew she would as soon as I read the press release, but sometimes these sort of toys can promise hours of fun and then deliver little. This one, I can safely say, ticks all her boxes. It's crafty; it's girly, it's trendy, and in her words, 'It's addictive'.
She started off decorating her DSi case with a pretty flower; soon the entire back cover was filled with glittery girliness. It does look really nice, and the diamantés are well adhered; they won't just fall off in the blink of an eye. She then decided that the music note was destined for her headphones....and the moon, and another floral design..... yup, she's got it bad!
Blingles Bling Studio allows children to 'bling their things' with sparkly jewels that they use to create diamanté stickers that can be attached to almost anything; notebooks, mobile phone covers, bags, accessories.... the list is endless.
What's in the box?

Blingles are designed for 6 year olds and upwards, and are not suitable for under 36 months due to small parts. It retails at £19.99 which is a good price. You can also buy theme packs to refill the Bling studio, so it's not something that is rendered useless after one day. Middle Miss is saving her pocket money for a theme pack, which cost £7.99 and contains all you need, including 180 gems and the relevant design templates. The theme packs would also make great stocking fillers for Christmas (Yes...I know I said the C word already, but once Little One has her birthday at the end of the Summer, I will be starting my Christmas shopping (!!) It's good to be organised (honest!)
Creating Blingles is very easy. Simply pick a design and select the colour gems you require; keeping them safe in the tray provided. Using the Gem pen, pick up a gem and build your creation using the template as a guide. Create a sticker using the transfer slide and glue, roll and viola! You have some bling for your things!
Middle Miss loves it and I'd be very happy to recommend it.
Disclosure: I received a Blingles Bling Studio for review purposes. Our opinions remain honest as always.
